Amy White - Editor

From 1994 to 2005, Amy held the position as the Director of Communications with the Toronto Humane Society. In addition to promoting the Society’s programs and services, Amy also appearanced weekly on Cable Pulse 24 and the Mix 99.9 radio. Amy was frequently called upon by the media to comment on, or answer, questions relating to animal behavior / animal welfare.

She shares her home and heart with Calvin her American Foxhound, Ally the Springer Spaniel and Chili the little Mexican Hairless…who were all rescued from animal shelters across the country.

Her newest addition is Leap, an Ibizan Hound. Believe it or not, her six brown tabbies rule the roost!

In her spare time Amy competes in Agility. Calvin and Chili hold titles as Advanced Agility Dogs of Canada. She also travels extensively with the International Superdogs Performance Team. Calvin and Ally have leading roles in a video made for schools on dog safety. Ally is also a canine ambassador, attending schools on a weekly basis, teaching canine safety.

Amy’s latest passion is for Rally Obedience and she keeps her skills polished by attending numerous seminars and workshops dealing with both training and behavioral issues. She has a certificate in Pet First Aid and has taken courses on Tellington Touch and Canine Massage.

Amy started with Who’s Walking Who in 1999 and heads up our Tricks department. Her dogs not only know the traditional tricks like sit pretty and roll-over. They also know how to turn on the TV and open the refrigerator. Give her a clicker and there is nothing she can’t do!

Gillian is director of Who’s Walking Who Dog Obedience Centre in Toronto and Ajax. She is co-author of the book "Citizen Canine" and also writes for Dogs in Canada. She has been featured on City Pulse, Breakfast Television, Global Television, Q107 radio and in Toronto Life. A member of SuperDogs, Gillian has been a feature writer and consultant for Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! since the first issue rolled off the press in 1994. She lives in Whitby with her husband and family dogs.

Veterinary Columnist

Dr. Chris began writing "The Vet’s Scope" for Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! in 2004. A graduate (1999) of Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, he is a companion animal veterinarian practicing at McLean Animal Hospital in Scarborough. Chris grew up with birds, turtles, a Husky, Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd. He currently lives in Toronto with his two crazy cats, Wayne and Raven.

Marna has been a contributing writer for Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! since 1998 when she wrote her debut article, "Looking for Love - Adopting a Shelter Dog". She followed with the launch of her regular column "Marna’s Dog Tales" which features dogs available for adoption from animal shelters and rescue groups located primarily in Southwestern Ontario. A Donor Relations coordinator for the Toronto Humane Society, Marna is also the founder of B.O.B. (Big on Beagles) which she likes to describe as "an assistance agency for Beagles experiencing troubled times".

Lorraine is a foster Mom and member of the Branch Advisory committee for the Ontario SPCA, an evaluator for St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs and director of Speaking of Dogs. Her writing first appeared in Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! in 2001. Lorraine is a Maxwell award winner from Dog Writers Asociation of America for her article "Barry" which appeared in the August/September, 2004 edition of Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! Lorraine’s writing can also be seen in the North York & Scarborough Mirror. She lives in Don Mills with her husband, two sons and family dogs.

N. Glenn Perrett
Book Review Columnist

Glenn’s "Up On the Shelf" column has appeared regularly in Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! since 2000. He is author of the book, "A Dog For Life" and his writing appears in national and community publications. Glenn has been involved in animal welfare for approximately 20 years. Glenn, his wife, Lynn, and their children, Gleannan and Liam, are part of an extended family that includes dogs, cats and horses. The family resides near Lisle, Ontario.
